September 9, 2010, a Thursday
near North Rim, Arizona, USA
— Photographed at Fence Point and moved the RV to get better solar power
We got up around 4:55 so we could go photograph the 6:00-ish sunrise. :) I prepared a mug of my regular coffee and J started a mug of tea steeping. We left in the Jeep at 5:15, and it was 46°F (8°C) outside.

I had Clif Bars for breakfast while driving.

We went to Fence Point around 5:30. I headed out to the viewpoint I found when we came to scout on September 7, 2010. J found a viewpoint that I hadn't discovered, and I thought she had found a better place. Clouds were forming over the canyon and then getting blown north towards us (far left). After I finished where I was, I went out to where J was. After checking it out, I'm glad I set up where I did initially. After the sun started to hit the side of the canyon, I photographed the view along the narrow point (near left). We left at 7:40.

We explored the area further to look for a better boondocking spot because we weren't getting enough solar-electric power where we were.

We returned to the RV around 8:30 and prepped it to move. We left around 8:40 with J in the Jeep and me following in the RV.

We reached our new boondocking spot around 9:00. I downloaded the images I took then downselected them in Capture One (C1). I finished a blog entry then processed images for a stock submission.

I had lunch around 11:40 and continued processing images for a stock submission. I took a break from that and processed two images for the blog from this morning then did some computer work. I processed more images for a stock submission.

We had dinner around 5:30 of leftover J's sour cream chicken enchiladas and fresh guacamole. It was delicious!

We left in the Jeep around 6:10.

We went back to Fence Point around 6:30 to photograph sunset which was to occur around 6:50. I went to J's overlook spot because that would provide a better vantage point in the evening. I used the roughly eroded rocks in the foreground to create an additional diagonal to contrast with the diagonals on the side of the Grand Canyon (left). We left around 7:10.

We returned to the RV around 7:30. I downloaded the images I took and downselected them in Capture One (C1). Then I processed one for the blog. I processed some more images for a stock submission before going to bed.
