June 13, 2010, a Sunday
Parker (K2), Colorado, USA
— Went to Parker Days
We slept in this morning. After getting ready, we left in the Jeep.
We went to the Village Inn in Parker at 10:10 for breakfast, and there was just a short wait. I had a Denver Omelet with toast, instead of the usually-included pancakes, and coffee, and J had a V.I.B. with scrambled eggs (w/cheese), hash browns, fresh fruit, and a strawberry crepe, and some Celestial Seasoning spice tea because she forgot to bring her just-brewed Lucile's tea along. J really liked the crepe, but wasn't too impressed by the not-quite-ripe fruit. We left at 11:10.
We went to King Soopers to grocery shop, and it was a big haul.
We returned to the RV around 12:30, and I started to work up a blog entry. I had a Clif Bar for a snack before we left around 1:15 in the Jeep.
We went to Parker Days, a traveling carnival in Parker, and met SJ&DilK (J's Son J and Daughter-in-law K) and the grandkids there. It was cool (about 59°F or 15°C) and cloudy. J took pictures and I was in charge of holding the balloons that GJ (grandson J, age 4.5) and GS (granddaughter S, age 3) had gotten but couldn't take on the rides.
We returned to the RV around 4:25 and I started to make dinner because we were starving.
We had dinner around 4:55 of Bertolli Mediterranean Style Grilled Chicken & Roasted Vegetables and Texas Toast.
After dinner, J baked some Betty Crocker brownies because the oven was warm and it was cool outside. I finished the blog entry then did some computer work. We watched the extras on the Plagues & Pleasures on the Salton Sea DVD, and some of it was very bizarre.
