I had my normal breakfast then did some computer work. I left around 9:45 in the Jeep by myself.

I stopped by my storage unit to drop off some things.

I went to Recreational Vehicle Accessories in Denver to find out the correct wiring for our umbilical cord that goes between the RV and the Jeep when we're towing the Jeep. They didn't have a cord that I could use to measure the conductivity, but they had a wiring diagram that I could take.

I went to Extreme Auto around 11:15 to have them look at the Jeep again because it started making a low-pitched whining noise after we picked it up from them on Wednesday. They didn't have anyone that could look at it right away like they said they could, so I told them I'd bring it back around 1:00.

I returned to the RV and took the cartridge out of our bathroom sink. The faucet has been finicky for quite a while, such that if it wasn't closed just right, then it would drip. It wasn't much of a problem for me because it shut off practically every time I turned it off, but J had lots of trouble with it. I left in the Jeep by myself and ...

Went to Home Depot to look for a replacement faucet cartridge. They didn't have one in stock, so ...

I went to Lowe's to see if they had one and they did.

I returned to the RV, installed the cartridge, and was surprised that the screw that had been holding the knob on the old cartridge was a wood screw. It was obviously a replacement part, and it worked with the old cartridge that had a plastic control arm, but I didn't want to use it with the brass control arm on the new cartridge. So, I left the knob off and just operated the faucet by the control arm for a while.

I had my normal lunch, and J installed a new heat register in the living room to replace the old one that had gotten cracked.

I took the Jeep back to Extreme Auto around 1:00 to have them fix the noise that started after they worked on it on Wednesday. They drained and replaced the power steering fluid with Chrysler-recommended fluid. They didn't say why they put something other than Chrysler-recommended fluid in after they replaced our power steering pump on Wednesday. I wasn't too impressed, but was glad they did the work today for free.

I returned to the RV to pick up the new cartridge from the bathroom sink so I could go get a machine screw to attach the knob.

I went to Lowe's and picked up a 10-24 pan head screw, then ...

Returned to the RV, installed the cartridge in the bathroom faucet and attached the knob with the new machine screw. The faucet is much smoother now with the new cartridge, and it's not fussy about how it's shut off. :) Then I rewired the umbilical cord according to the wiring diagram I picked up this morning. I switched the conductors on one end by mirroring them. When I plugged it into the RV and the Jeep, we got running lights, brake lights, and the turn signals were reversed. The turn signals were two of the wires that I swapped, so it would be easy to get that fixed. However, the brake system wasn't working and I was puzzled. Because we had to leave fairly soon to run an errand before making an appointment, I packed up the stuff to work on the umbilical cord and then made a batch of my trail mix. We left in the Jeep around 4:05.

We went to WalMart to pick up some things. While J was grocery shopping, I walked to the Home Depot next door to pick up some things.

We went to SJ&DilK's (J's Son J and Daughter-in-law K's) and J started making her Zucchini-Broccoli Quiche. Then she made some German chocolate cake. J and I enjoyed the quiche, but the grandkids were unsure of it. The cake was enjoyed by all.

We returned to the RV around 8:30 and I worked up a blog entry.
