It was 15°F (-9°C) when we got out of bed around 7:40. Had breakfast including New Orleans Style Coffee with Chicory from Lucile's. I worked up a blog entry and J cleaned the bathroom and organized the storage under our bathroom sink. We talked about travel plans for February and March. I started to design a cloth bag to hold four light stands.

I had lunch around noon. I sprayed the backs of our two new area rugs with Super Grip Clear Coating, a spray-on non-slip coating, while they were hanging outside on a fence. Then I placed the area rugs face down in the RV to dry with one on the sofa and one on the bed. We left at 12:40 in the Jeep.

We went to the One Stop Coin Laundry in Parker to do several loads of laundry. J dropped me off and went to do some errands. I started the laundry, then cleaned up some notes on my brain (my Palm Treo 755p). J returned around 2:00 after doing some grocery shopping and marinating some steaks for tonight over at SJ&DilK's (J's Son J and Daughter-in-law K's).

We returned to the RV around 2:30. After putting away my laundry, I installed the new plug on the umbilical cord from the RV to the Jeep when we tow the Jeep. Actually, I only changed the connector part of the plug because I was able to re-use the casing with strain relief from the old plug. Went to SJ&DilK's (J's Son J and Daughter-in-law K's) to fix dinner. J prepared the Grilled Cheesy Potatoes and green beans with almonds, and I grilled the flatiron steaks that J had started marinating in some Teriyaki Marinade earlier today. GA (grandson A, age 8) had turned the steaks periodically all afternoon — what a help. I helped GJ (grandson J, age 4) build something with their new Marble Run set. GS (granddaughter S, age 2.5) was ready to eat as soon as the steaks and potatoes came off the grill. The steaks were done perfectly, I must say, something that I find hard to do with someone else's grill. We had some WalMart plain cheesecake for dessert with caramel sauce on top for those that wanted it (not me, thank you).

We returned to the RV around 7:40. J found out that one of her images will apear in Audubon Magazine as part of their first Audubon Magazine Photography Awards. Her Crowned Plover will appear in a spread called Caught in the Act. I did some computer work, then watched an episode of Desperate Housewives on DVD with J. I put the area rugs back in their usual location face up, and the Super Grip Clear Coating really works! It's so nice to have the area rugs stay in place without a separate non-slip layer!
