— Cleaned the coffee grinder
I got up at my normal time and had my normal breakfast. Because I had used up all of the coffee beans in the Capresso Infinity Conical Burr Grinder, I decided to clean it thoroughly. It hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in more than a year, and it definitely needed it. I worked up a blog entry and took the previously-written entry live. I left around 9:10 and ...
Walked around the neighborhood. As I was on my way back to the RV, J was just starting out on her walk, so I joined her.
We returned to the RV around 10:00 and I did some computer work.
I had lunch around noon. J left in the Jeep by herself around 1:10 to run some errands, and I did more computer work. J returned around 1:55 and I left by myself in the Jeep.
I went to my storage unit to pick up hard drives that I use for backups.
Then I went to a Loaf 'n Jug to fill up the Jeep at $2.469/gal.
I returned to the RV around 3:00 and started to backup data to the hard drives I had picked up. I did some odd jobs around the RV, and couldn't complete one job because I couldn't get into one of our basement compartments because the lock wasn't working. The lock had acted up before, but would behave itself if I banged on the latch. No amount of banging would fix it this time though, so I went online to find out how to fix the lock. I couldn't find anything about the type of latches/locks we have, but did find things about using WD-40 (not highly recommended) or some Teflon spray (highly recommended) to loosen up the lock mechanism. I left around 3:55 by myself in the Jeep and ...
Went to Lowe's to get some Teflon spray. They had both plain Teflon and some Teflon/Silicone, and I got the latter.
On my way home, I noticed that the Teflon/Silicone spray didn't come with a tube to direct the spray. :(
I stopped by SJ&DilK's (J's Son J and Daughter-in-law K's) to pick up a package.
I returned to the RV around 4:25. Because the Teflon/Silicone spray didn't come with a tube, I used some WD-40, that did have a tube, on the stuck lock. Then I used the Teflon/Silicone spray on the electric steps to the RV because I could now access more of the actuator mechanism than I could when they were stuck in the up position. I tested the frozen lock, and it worked like a charm, so I sprayed some WD-40 in the rest of the locks as a preventative measure. After letting them sit for a while, I inserted a key and operated all of the other locks to help lubricate them. I went in the RV and did more computer work.
We had dinner around 5:55 of TGI Friday's Sesame Chicken.
After I did the dishes, I did some computer work. Then I called my mother and set her up with a gmail account — she finally entered the information age! After we were done, I went back to doing computer work.
