October 27, 2009, a Tuesday
Parker (K), Colorado, USA
— Processed images and went back to Carino's
We got up a little earlier than usual so we could prep the RV to move and be ...

At SJ&DilK's (J's son J and daughter-in-law-K's) by 8:30 to watch GJ (grandson J, age 4) and GS (granddaughter S, age 2.5) while DilK and GA (grandson A, age 7) went to a parent-teacher conference and then while DilK ran some errands. We did several loads of laundry while we were there, and I processed images for a stock submission. I was working through images from our trip to South Africa in October 2007 and our stay in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The Cape ground squirrel (left) was grooming, and J and I found him to be quite entertaining. J, DilK, GJ, and GS left around 11:55 to go to lunch and I stayed in the RV to get some work done.

I had my normal lunch then showered. J, DilK, and GS returned around 1:05. (They had dropped GJ off at preschool while they were out.) I left around 2:00 by myself in the RV.

I went to the Town of Castle Rock Public Works building to use their free dump station.

I returned to SJ&DilK's around 3:15 and picked up J.

We returned "home," and I leveled the RV and hooked up the electricity. Then I processed more images for a stock submission. I finished the images from our stay in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, then I worked on images from Augrabies Falls National Park and from near Springbok. Quiver trees (left) are like super-sized aloe plants (they're Aloe dichotoma) and are found in northwestern South Africa. We were there shortly before full moon. We left around 6:15 in the Jeep and went ...

To Carino's Italian restaurant in Parker to take advantage of their Family Night where you can get a Family Platter for the price of the regular entrée. We split a Family Platter of Spicy Shrimp & Chicken (Penne pasta, cayenne pepper romano cream sauce, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes and green onions). I got a bottomless house salad with the house balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and J got a bottomless minestrone soup. The food was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our "date."

We returned "home" to the RV, and I finished processing a complete set of 200 images for a stock submission. :)
