October 26, 2009, a Monday
Parker (K), Colorado, USA
— Processed images and celebrated J's birthday belatedly with SJ&DilK
First thing today I loaded up the RV with some fresh water so J could take a shower. Had my normal breakfast. Packaged up the Kirk L-Bracket for a 1Ds Mk II and the Epson P-4000 that I sold on eBay. The buyer for the Epson lives on Zooks Mill Road in Brownstown, PA — gad zooks! :) J left around 10:25 to pick up her good friend L to go out to lunch and then visit her good friend K (GfK). GfK had surgery yesterday for a perforated colon. J also took my packages to the local UPS Store. I worked up a blog entry then did some computer work.

Had lunch around 12:20. I packed up the Kirk Single Arm Macro bracket that I sold on eBay and had received payment after J left this morning. I took a shower, then processed images for a stock submission. I was working through images from our trip to South Africa in October 2007 and our stay in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Gemsbok (left) are large antelope with distinctive markings. Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is a great place to photograph them, and in fact the park encompasses the former Kalahari Gemsbok National Park. J returned around 2:30. I left around 3:30 in the Jeep by myself.

I went to the Parker Library to pick up some things, then I went to the UPS Store to drop off the package I prepared after lunch.

I returned around 3:50 and continued processing images for a stock submission. My right hand was really tired from working with the mouse so much these past few days as I've processed images. We left around 6:40 in the Jeep to go ...

To Carino's Italian restaurant in Parker to belatedly celebrate J's birthday with SJ&DilK (J's sone J and daughter-in-law-K) and family. J and I split a Family Platter of Homemade Baked Lasagna and a bottomless house salad with the house balsamic vinaigrette dressing. On Monday and Tuesday, Carino's has Family Night where you can get a Family Platter for the price of the regular entrée. The fresh-baked bread was delicious as always and we enjoyed it with seasoned oil poured over roasted garlic. I just love their house salad and house dressing. I think their lasagna is OK, but J loves it and she got to choose the main because we were celebrating her birthday.

We returned to the RV around 8:30. We called my cousin K, who had called while we were at dinner, and we talked for a while. I did some computer work before going to bed.
