Had my normal breakfast then worked up a blog entry. I left around 10:00 in the Jeep by myself.

I went to a nearby FedEx Kinko's store to send back the bad cards to have reprinted. (You may read more about the bad cards on my blog entry for October 20, 2009.) Then I went by the Post Office to mail something, then I went to the Parker Library to drop off and pick up some things.

I went to the Crossroads Barbershop around 10:20 to get my hair cut by my usual barber. I had a short wait, then got a great haircut. :) I left around 10:40.

I returned to the RV then showered to get all of the hair cuttings off of me. I processed images for a stock submission. I'm working through images from our trip to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, in October 2007. The serval cub in the image to the left was about three months old and was resting atop a termite mound. It was very cooperative and we spent a lot of time with it and photographed it from several positions. It was tired and dozed off a few times — it was definitely stressed by our presence. :)

Had my normal lunch around 12:20 and continued processing images. We prepped the RV to move, then left in the RV around 2:45.

We went to the Town of Castle Rock Public Works building to use their free dump station.

Then we went to the nearby Castle Rock Outlet Mall to do some shopping. J bought a green fleece from the Columbia Sportswear store. Then we went to Carter's and bought an outfit each for GJ (grandson J, age 4) and GS (granddaughter S, age 2.5) for Christmas — you can never go shopping too early.

We went to the King Soopers at Stroh Ranch on the south side of Parker to grocery shop.

We stopped at SJ&DilK's (J's Son J and Daughter-in-law K's) to drop off a gallon of ice cream that we picked up on sale, and played with the grandkids for a while too. I also picked up two packages with items I won recently on eBay.

We returned "home" around 6:00. I leveled the RV and plugged into electricity, then we left in the Jeep and went ...

To Qdoba in Parker to use a buy-one-get-one coupon, and the place was jumping. I got a Grilled Chicken Burrito and J got a Vegetarian Taco Salad. J also used a coupon to get a free order of chips and 3-Cheese Queso. We got the food to go and returned ...

To the RV to eat. When J took the container of queso out of the bag, she dropped it on the floor by the dinette, and some of it escaped to christen the just-cleaned carpet. :) The chips and queso were most tasty, but the burrito was just OK.

After dinner, I opened up the two packages with items I recently won on eBay. The new Lee Filters Foundation Kit wasn't exactly what I was expecting — it was a special, reduced-capability filter holder from Calumet that is set up to hold one 1.5mm and two 2mm filters. (The HiTech filters I have are 1.5mm thick, and the Lee filters are 2mm thick.) The complete Foundation Kit can be customized to hold up to four filters of either thickness. The Calumet model doesn't come with a pouch either like the "real" one does. :( Oh well, it'll work and the price was right. The used Lee Filters 1-stop soft graduated neutral density filter looks great, and the previous owner had made a nice sleeve to protect it while it was in the padded Lee case.

I processed more images for a stock submission before going to bed. The leopard in the image to the left had killed a male Thomson's gazelle and carried it into a tree before we arrived. We photographed it as it stripped some of the fur off (left) and then drug it further up into the tree. Leopards are my favorite animal.
