— Processed images and had GA for a sleepover
Had my normal breakfast, then processed images for a stock submission. I'm working through images from our trip to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, in October 2007. Bat-eared foxes (below left) are slightly smaller than red foxes, but they have huge ears. The two secretarybirds on the nest (below right) were just about to fledge, and one of the youngsters was stretching its wings.
Had lunch around 11:55. K came around 12:40 for J to give her some computer tutoring. I finished processing images for a stock submission for today then worked up a blog entry.
DilK (J's Daughter-in-law K) brought the grandkids over to the RV around 4:25. We visited for a while, then DilK took GJ (grandson J, age 4) and GS (granddaughter S, age 2.5) home and GA (grandson A, age 7) stayed for a sleepover. We went outside and played with GA's new basketball in the driveway.
Had dinner of grilled flatiron steak that had been marinating in J's special marinade, baked potatoes, and Greek salad. The steak was thicker than usual in the center, so it ended up on the rare side of medium-rare, but it was still very tasty.
After doing the dishes, I worked up a blog entry and J did some computer work while GA watched a DVD on his own (Open Season). Then we all watched Honey, I Blew Up The Kid. The movie was entertaining, and I got a kick out of the geeky kid. I also enjoyed watching Marcia Strassman who played Julie Kotter in the late 70s ABC sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. Who couldn't like the "Sweathogs" with Vinnie Barbarino and Arnold Horshack? :)
