October 18, 2010, a Monday
Fishlake National Forest (near Heart Lake), Utah, USA
— Foggy, cloudy, rainy day
We took it easy this morning. It was cloudy with light rain. I had my normal breakfast, but sat at the dinette instead of standing up like usual, and I enjoyed watching a vole gather food near one of its tunnel entrances. I did some computer work then worked up a blog entry. We turned on the generator around 10:00 for an hour. J left in the Jeep around 10:15 to go photograph trees in the fog and I processed images for a stock submission.
I had lunch around 12:05 and J returned around 12:10. Then J photographed some aspen leaves that she brought back with her in "her studio" in the RV. I processed more images for a stock submission, and finished a set to send to my stock agent. The two images to the left are among my favorites that I processed today, and both are from the Alabama Hills in the Inyo National Forest, California, taken in December 2008.
I made a batch of my spaghetti sauce, then looked at Canon EOS 1D Mk IV camera bodies for sale on FredMiranda.com. I found one that was attractive and contacted the seller to get some more information. I did some computer work and turned on the generator for another hour and a half.
We had dinner around 6:00 of spaghetti with my spaghetti sauce and Texas Toast.
I did more computer work and we ran the generator for another hour and a half because we didn't get much solar-electric power today with all of the cloud cover.

Finally had a minute to catch up with recent posts. Dang time flys when your having fun. Been giving the moose a run for their money the last couple weeks. The rut was more than a week late. Sounds like you two are still having fun. D |
