June 4, 2010, a Friday
Sellersville to Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
— Dinner with KA and family
I got up before my mother and started to work up a blog entry. After she got up, I started a load of laundry then had breakfast of a bowl of Cheerios and some fresh blueberries. We visited for a while and I showed her some pictures from my recent blog entries. She left around 10:05 to go grocery shopping and I stayed to finish the blog entry and the laundry. My mother returned around 11:05. I called MacMall, and they won't get an iPad in stock until June 9th. So, it definitely won't reach my mother's place before I have to be back in Colorado. :(
We went to the Washington House Restaurant in Sellersville for lunch around noon. I had one of the special sandwiches of the day, an antipasto wrap, and my mother had a chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food was good, and the atmosphere was nice.
We went to my cousin S's (CS's) around 1:20 to visit some more at L's request. L is her 4 year old boy. He and I did some water coloring in the kitchen, and he was really into the water part of watercolor. Every time he would add paint to the brush, he would dip the brush in the water and then put it straight into the paint. By the time we were done, the paint tray was completely filled with water and the coloring book paper we were painting was completely soaked. It wasn't exactly how I would have done it, but he had a ball. While we were doing that, H, their 6 month old girl, got tired of being in her play seat, so she was moved into a baby bouncer and that cheered her up. L had me make him some paper airplanes, and we flew them for quite a while. We had lots of fun.
We returned to my mother's apartment around 3:40 so she could take a power nap. We left around 4:30.
We went to WalMart so I could pick up some sunscreen for tomorrow because I had forgotten to pack some.
We went to KA's place to take her and her kids, MA (11) and JA (9), out for dinner. We left and I drove us in KA's car.
We went to Applebee's. Yes, we went there two nights in a row because it's a convenient family-friendly restaurant with decent food. When we arrived, our waiter from last night was waiting by the door and said "Hi" to us. We sat in a different part of the restaurant and didn't have the same waiter as last night though. I had a Bacon Cheeseburger and it was good.
We returned to KA's around 6:40, and MA, JA, my mother, and I played some Wii bowling. Then MA, JA, and I played some Super Mario Bros on the Wii. My mother left around 8:45 and I stayed to spend the night so I'd be ready to help the kids with their soapbox derby cars tomorrow, and the day would begin early. After playing more Super Mario Bros, we took a break to have some mint chocolate chip ice cream.
