We took it easy this morning. J cooked us a big breakfast of Denver omelets, potatoes, whole wheat toast, and OJ. As usual, J had her Lucile's tea and I had my LavAzza Gran Filtro Dark Roast coffee. After I did the dishes, I bought three PT-04TM wireless flash trigger receivers (one to replace the one we broke, one for an additional flash, and one for a spare) and two Jianisi RS-C3 cable releases for my Canon EOS 1-series bodies (one to replace the one that broke and one for a spare). The Jianisi RS-C3 cable releases have the same form factor as the Canon RS-80N3 Remote Switch, but they don't have a lock to hold the plug in the socket. They're dirt cheap (about $7 instead of about $50 for the Canon), so I'll see how they work.

I processed an image for the blog and worked up a blog entry.

I had lunch around 12:05 and finished reading the March 2010 Outdoor Photographer. I did some computer work then processed some images for a stock submission. Two of the images are shown below.


We left around 5:05 and walked along the nice stream near our boondocking spot. We're camped around 5000 ft (1525m) about half way up a nice canyon and there's fresh snow near the peaks of the mountains. J returned to the RV and I walked up-canyon along the road and then back. It was nice to get some exercise after sitting around so much lately!

I returned to the RV around 6:00.

We had dinner at 7:00 of Bertolli Italian Sausage & Rigatoni and Texas Toast with Arbor Mist Peach Chardonnay for J and Charles Shaw Merlot for me — mmm.

After dinner, I looked at camera gear, both to finish outfitting my new Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5 L II tilt-shift lens and also to improve our strobist flash setup.
