Parker (K2), Colorado, USA
— Lunch with L, and J went to the dentist
We slept in this morning. I had my normal breakfast then did some office work. I left in the Jeep around 10:40 to run to the Post Office and the bank. I returned to the RV and picked up J.
We went to the Parker Library to meet up with J's good friend L around 11:30. Then we drove over ...
To the War Horse restaurant for lunch. I had the lunch Enchilada plate and J had the lunch Chili Rellenos plate. The food was good and the portions were perfect for lunch. We had a nice time visiting with L. We left around 12:40 and ...
Returned L to the Parker Library and J and I went inside to drop off and pick up some things.
We returned to the RV around 12:55 and I left around 1:05 by myself in the Jeep.
I went to my storage unit to pick up some hard drives that are for off-site backups. I also picked up the iStarUSA v7AGE220-SAU external hard drive enclosure that was there because the one I have in the RV has a faulty power switch — I sometimes have to push it many many times before it will stay in the On position.
I returned to the RV around 1:40 and turned on the air conditioner because it was 87°F (30.5°C) in the office. J left in the Jeep around 2:05 to go to the dentist to have a temporary crown put on her broken tooth. (You may read more about J's broken tooth on the blog entry for July 7, 2010.) I started to back up data from recent image processing activity then I started to process the selected images from my last stock submission. I swapped out the old iStarUSA v7AGE220-SAU external hard drive enclosure with the new one, and the power switch in the new one works just fine. :) I continued to process the selected images from my last stock submission. J returned around 4:40 with a temporary crown for her tooth and some items from Target and WalMart. I finished processing the selected images from my last stock submission and then started another backup.
We had dinner at 6:55 of leftover Chinese food from the August Moon, and the breaded coating on my General Tao's Chicken didn't hold up well.
I left around 7:30 to take some things to my storage unit, then ...
I went to the REI store near Park Meadows to buy some Campsuds and they were out.
Then I went to the nearby Lukas Liquor Superstore to pick up some supplies.
Finally, I went to the Apple Store in the Park Meadows Mall to see if they could recycle the old battery from my 15-inch MacBook Pro and they could. While I was there, I played with an Apple Magic Mouse. It's a wireless BlueTooth mouse that can interpret swipes on its surface just like on a iPhone or newer MacBook (Pro). I was thinking about getting one because I'm tired of cleaning the little rubber ball on the top of my Apple Mighty Mouse about once every two weeks so that it has enough friction to operate. My first impression was that the Magic Mouse was heavy because of the two AA batteries in it, but the shape was pretty comfortable, and I was happy with the swipe behavior.
I returned to the RV around 9:00 and looked at Magic Mice on eBay because I received a coupon for an instant $10 off any eBay purchase that I make through PayPal. I found several that end in the next few days. :) I worked up a blog entry and J went to bed to read. When I was ready for bed, J was watching the news through her eyelids.
